Two geodesic domes, 1 mile from the Royal Gorge entrance road
Stay in one of two geodesic glamping domes at Mountain View RV Resort in Canon City — 1 mile from the Royal Gorge entrance road and about 3 miles / 5 minutes to the Bridge & Park. We are the closest Canon City park to the bridge, and we are not Royal Gorge RV Resort. Each dome has a queen bed, A/C and heat, a propane firepit on the deck, and a bathhouse next door. Max 2 guests; no pets except ADA service animals. Sangre de Cristo views from the elevated deck at about 6,400 feet.
What’s in the dome
Our two 16′ geodesic domes sit on elevated decks about 10 feet up (stairs). Inside: queen bed with linens and towels, lamps, chairs and a table, Keurig with Starbucks K-cups, microwave, mini-fridge, and phone charging. A/C, heat, and a swamp cooler keep the space comfortable. There is no running water in the dome — the bathhouse with 7-foot rain showers is nearby. A propane fire pit sits on the deck for evening use when fires are allowed.
These are geodesic domes, not yurts, not cabins, and not RV sites. Cabins and RV sites at our Royal Gorge RV park are booked separately on our rates page.
Rates and stay rules
Dome stays start from $89/night and up (plus tax and a $0.99/day water fee). Book online at mountainviewrvresort.net or call (719) 275-0900 — phone bookings skip the 3% online fee. Multi-night discounts: 10% off 3+ nights, 20% off 7+, 50% off 30+. A $100 refundable key/damage deposit applies. Check-in is 3–6 pm. Mid-stay clean is $35; an extra towel set is $10. Season runs April 1 through October 31. Max 2 guests per dome; no cots.

Is this Royal Gorge RV Resort?
No. We are Mountain View RV Resort in Canon City. We sit 1 mile from the Royal Gorge entrance road. Royal Gorge RV Resort is a different park.
Are these domes or yurts?
Geodesic domes — 16 feet across on an elevated deck with stairs. Not yurts.
Can I bring pets?
Not in the domes, except ADA service animals. RV sites allow up to 4 pets on leash.
Can kids or a third person stay?
Max 2 guests per dome. No cot.
Is there water or a bathroom in the dome?
No running water in the dome. Use the bathhouse next door (7-foot rain showers).
How far is the Royal Gorge Bridge?
About 3 miles / 5 minutes to the Bridge & Park. The Royal Gorge entrance road is 1 mile from the park.
When is the season, and when is check-in?
Open April 1 through October 31. Dome check-in is 3–6 pm.
